Attachment Parenting Support group- now forming! Email if you are interested. La Leche League of Chico- These accredited La Leche League support group meetings provide an opportunity for both new and experienced mothers to share their questions and concerns, and to talk with one another about the special joys and challenges of parenting. We especially encourage expectant and new mothers to join us. Of course, babies and children are always welcome at La Leche League meetings. We also offer special Toddler and Couples meetings! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Breastfeeding Support Group- every Thursday at 10am. Open to anyone pregnant or with a nursing baby- little nurslings welcome!

Breastfeeding Support Center- The Breastfeeding Support Center provides free breastfeeding support and services to all women who live in Butte County. The Staff provides current research-based breastfeeding information. Our goal is to give mothers the confidence and skills to continue breastfeeding for the first year of their infant's life and beyond as mutually desired, keeping with the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
We support breastfeeding women. Most families make the infant feeding decision without knowing all of the facts about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding makes a BIG difference in the health and future wellness of a child.
Many women are not prepared for the demands of a new baby and breastfeeding may overwhelm them. We can help a woman learn how to breastfeed comfortably and successfully.
Services we provide: One-to-one breastfeeding counseling; telephone support, assistance and referrals to other IBCLCS; breast pump loan program; resource library; weekly breastfeeding support groups for moms and babies.
